چکیده
The influence of Cu doping on phase transition, thermal strain, and expansion property polycrystalline Ni 50 Mn 23− x Ga 27 ( = 1, 3, 5, 6 7) alloys is investigated. results show that with increasing concentration, martensitic transformation gradually gets close to Curie transition. A magnetostructural transition (MST) observed in samples 7. Such MST can enhance magnitude strain. Besides, possess an isotropic, recoverable, thermally stable Excitedly, effectively tune the properties alloys. Adjustable coefficients from positive negative are obtained by Cu‐doped average linear coefficient α ) between −140.44 −207.70 ppm K −1 7 for a narrow temperature span 11–14 K. When about 72 6) 73 7), which largest Ni–Mn–Ga‐based recently, values decrease −36 . These findings beneficial manipulating Ni–Mn–Ga–Cu their multifunctional applications.

Phase Transition and Effect of Defects on Thermal Expansion in FexO
Introduction Transition-metal monoxides, such as NiO, CoO, FeO, and MnO, have been receiving considerable attention as model materials for elucidating defect structures, the nature of interaction between defects, and effect of nonstoichiometry on physical properties. Wüstite is an iron oxide that possesses rock-salt structure and exhibits a wide range of nonstoichiometry (0.88 < x < 1 in FexO)....
متن کاملThermal expansion of CaFe2As2: Effect of cobalt doping and postgrowth thermal treatment
We report thermal expansion measurements on Ca(Fe 1−x Co x) 2 As 2 single crystals with different thermal treatment, with samples chosen to represent four different ground states observed in this family. For all samples, thermal expansion is anisotropic with different signs of the in-plane and c-axis thermal expansion coefficients in the high temperature, tetragonal phase. The features in therm...
متن کاملPhase Transition and Thermal Expansion of MgSiO3 Perovskite.
Results from in situ x-ray diffraction experiments with a DIA-type cubic anvil apparatus (SAM 85) reveal that MgSiO(3) perovskite transforms from the orthorhombic Pbnm symmetry to another perovskite-type structure above 600 kelvin (K) at pressures of 7.3 gigapascals; the apparent volume increase across the transition is 0.7%. Unit-cell volume increased linearly with temperature, both below (1.4...

We report measurements of thermal expansion on a number of polycrystalline Cu(x)TiSe(2) samples corresponding to the parts of x-T phase diagram with different ground states, as well as the pressure dependence of the superconducting transition temperature, T(c), for samples with three different values of Cu doping. Thermal expansion data suggest that the x-T phase diagram may be more complex tha...
